Volunteer Scholarships

If you are eligible, as a volunteer at Faith Regional you can earn scholarships to help pay for tuition and other education-related expenses.

Scholarship Eligibility

You can be eligible for a scholarship if you volunteer a minimum of 110 hours at Faith Regional. You can submit cumulative hours from your active status date through March 31st of the scholarship application year. Once your hours have been totaled and submitted for your scholarship and you received a scholarship award, your hours will be reset to zero. If you do not receive an award, your hours will continue to accumulate if you choose to apply for another scholarship opportunity. As part of the eligibility requirements, you cannot have missed 3 scheduled assignments or have been late to an assignment more than 5 times.

Scholarship Amounts

Scholarships are awarded to volunteers in the amounts of $500, $1,000, $1,500, or $2,000.

Selection Criteria

Scholarships are awarded based on:

• Academics
• Attendance
• Future goals
• Leadership qualities
• Organization membership and community activities
• Total hours completed (110 - 150.9 hours = 10 points; 151 - 200.9 hours = 15 points; 201 - 250.9 = 20 points; 251 - 300.9 = 25 points; 300+ hours = 30 points)

Requirements

You must submit a completed application, three letters of recommendation, and verification of your service hours from Volunteer Services. Applications must be received by March 31. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Please also include a certified copy of your most recent high school, college, or higher education transcript (if most recent schooling was completed within the past five years).

Applications will only be awarded to those applying to an accredited school and, if selected, you must provide proof of registration prior to disbursement of the scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded during our Annual Volunteers Recognition Luncheon.
