Faith Regional’s Pediatric Unit was designed to provide the best in nursing care for children up to the age of 16 and features:

  • Seven private rooms with the capability to use cardiac apnea (vital signs) monitors with a visual readout at the nurses’ station for those children requiring closer monitoring.
  • One Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified nurse for every 3 to 4 children.
  • Rooms with video channel and Wii access as well as portable CD players.
  • A couch that converts into a bed to allow you desire to stay with your child. Families are welcome at all times and we encourage you to stay with your child whenever possible to lessen his or her anxiety. 
  • A locked unit to ensure the safety of our patients.

Pediatrics Unit Visiting Information
Parents may visit at any time. Additional visiting hours are:

  • 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Siblings may visit between these times only.
  • 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (daily) Naptime. For the well-being of the child, we discourage visitors during this time.

If you are ill, please do not visit. All visitors, including children, must be healthy with no rashes, infections, colds, runny noses, diarrhea or recent exposure to infectious disease.

Community Involvement
The pediatric staff takes an active role in improving the quality of life and health of children by becoming involved in the community. They work collaboratively with Northeast Community College, teaching the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course to health care professionals as well as child passenger safety checks held in the community monthly.
