The Many Benefits of Hospice Care

“We wanted to express our gratitude for the warmth and compassionate care you provided to our dad. The last days of his life were spent in comfort. The service you provide for families in need is invaluable.”

UNDERSTANDING HOSPICE CARE

Hospice care is end-of-life care that focuses on managing symptoms such as pain, nausea, and anxiety. Anyone with a life expectancy of six months or less, according to a physician, is eligible to receive the benefits of hospice care.

Benefit #1: FAMILY SUPPORT

Faith Regional’s hospice team meets with you and your family to set up a plan of care together so you or your loved one’s goals and wishes are kept at the forefront. Our team walks with you and your family on this journey to meet your emotional, physical, and spiritual needs by continually communicating and making updates to the care plan as needed. After your loved ones passing, our team will continue to be there throughout the bereavement process.

Benefit #2: PARTNER IN YOUR HEALTH

Hospice is a 24/7 partner in your health, including weekends and holidays. With staff residing in your local service area, this results in a faster response time when you need care most. Hospice staff are solely focused on your needs, wishes, and guiding your family during challenging times.

Benefit #3: CONTINUATION OF CARE

Whether you need to be admitted to the hospital or if you are ready to be discharged from the hospital to the comfort of your own home, our hospice team works with your primary care provider and our medical director to ensure you receive the highest level of care no matter where you are.

Our hospice team is also connected to any other services you may need, such as Palliative Care, Psychiatric Services, and Rehabilitation Therapies.

Benefit #4: HOPE

While the journey may start with uncertainty, hospice is a place where pain is met with compassion, fear with reassurance, and where every person is embraced with exemplary care. It’s a reminder that in difficult moments there is still joy to be found, love to be shared, and moments to be cherished.
