Nebraska Alliance of Child Advocacy Centers Mental Health Coordinator, Katie Good
Katie Good, M.S., LIMHP, NCC is the Mental Health Coordinator for the Nebraska Alliance. In this position, Katie is responsible for leading a project focused on ensuring that children and families served across Nebraska at CACs have timely access to quality mental health care.
Katie is a graduate of Doane University (formerly Doane College), where she received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Prior to the Nebraska Alliance, Katie worked within the mental health field as a therapist and supervisor providing services to individuals and families impacted by sexual abuse, trauma, and involved in the child welfare and legal system. Additionally, she assisted in trainings and consultations for mental health practitioners across Nebraska to work with youth with problematic sexual behaviors. Katie has been trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Advanced TF-CBT for Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and has completed the clinical endorsement training for youth with problematic sexual behaviors. She is married to her husband of 10 years and together they have two corgis and two cats. She loves playing video games and various creative outlets.
