Faith Regional Names 2019 Physician of the Year
A familiar face in Faith Regional’s emergency room was honored at the June 23 Emergency Department Staff Meeting.
Lisa Yosten, MD, was named Faith Regional’s 2019 Physician of the Year. Dr. Yosten is an emergency medicine physician at Faith Regional Health Services. She has been a member of the hospital’s medical staff since June 2008. A few comments about Dr. Yosten submitted on the nomination forms, include:
“Dr. Lisa Yosten is an amazing physician and an even more amazing individual. She embodies Faith Regional’s values and truly cares for all patients with compassion and excellent clinical skills. In Emergency Medicine, she deals with life-threatening events with authority and heartfullness.”
“Dr. Yosten has been so helpful and caring when my daughter was sick. She really cared about the outcome.”
“Dr. Lisa Yosten continually goes above and beyond to provide the best care for patients, families, FRHS as a whole, and the communities in the region. Dr. Lisa Yosten is the medical director for multiple volunteer fire/rescue departments and work places, guiding them and ensuring they have what they need to provide emergency care in the field, improving outcomes at FRHS. She is compassionate, intelligent, and an exemplary leader at FRHS.”
Nearly 120 submissions were received nominating 35 physicians for the 2019 Physician of the Year. Nominations were accepted through November 1, 2019. The winner was chosen by Faith Regional’s Physician of the Year Selection Committee. Nominees were evaluated on the testimonials received, active involvement in the hospital and within the community, and had to be a member of Faith Regional’s medical staff. The award was originally scheduled to be presented at Faith Regional’s April Medical Staff meeting but was post-poned due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
