Lee and Beverly Droescher, of Norfolk, have shared a lot over the years, including the same heart surgeon. Both had heart surgery at Faith Regional Health Services less than two years apart.
"I can't see someone in Norfolk going anywhere else for the type of care we experienced." - Lee Droescher
"The ICU nurses were all totally amazing - just exactly as they were for my husband. I can't thank them enough." - Beverly Droescher

Meet Tom of Dorchester, Nebraska, a small town about 40 miles southwest of Lincoln. At the age of 45, Tom suffered two heart attacks within 10 days. The cause: Atrial Fibrillation, an irregular, often rapid heart rate that commonly causes poor blood flow. When Tom's cardiologist told him that was nothing he could do for him, he knew he had to look around. He drove to Norfolk to meet with Dr. Edward Raines, a cardiothoracic surgeon with Faith Regional CardioVascular Institute. After a consultation, Dr. Raines knew he could help him. Today, Tom is doing well and calls the procedure that Dr. Raines performed, a Cox Maze III, a complete success.
