Most Wired Hospitals Use Technology to Partner with Patients on Health
If your baby requires more specialized care, you can feel secure with our experienced Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Our special care nursery provides critically ill newborns with expert medical care, such as central line placement, chest tube placement, intubation and ventilator support. Our nurses are trained in neonatal orientation. We have been able to stablize babies as early as 28 weeks and care for babies at 32 weeks and beyond.
All newborns in the Special Care Nursery receive one-to-one care 24 hours a day while allowing you to remain close by. If your baby is transferred to Children's, you will be able to Skype with their nurses to keep informed about your baby's medical care as well as see your baby.
