Top Executives Recognized in Becker’s Hospital Review

Norfolk –December 5, 2016:

Mark Klosterman, FACHE, CMPE, Faith Regional Health Services’ President and Chief Executive Officer, has been named as one of the 135 nonprofit hospital and health system CEOs to know in 2016 by Becker’s Hospital Review. According to the November 10, 2016 article, the men and women on Becker’s Hospital Review list lead some of the largest, most successful and prominent nonprofit healthcare organizations in the country. They were selected on editorial judgment and discretion.  This is the second year in a row that Klosterman has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review.

“It’s an honor to be recognized for the second consecutive year as one of the 135 recognized CEOs from nonprofit hospitals and health systems across the county by Becker’s Hospital Review,” said Klosterman. “The recognition is a testament to the great team at Faith Regional Health Services. It is because of our employee’s and medical staff’s dedication to the hospital’s mission and vision that we’ve experienced such wonderful progress and are known as one of the ‘most successful and prominent nonprofit healthcare organization in the country’.”

In addition to highlights included in the article, over the past year Faith Regional has experienced growth and development under Klosterman’s leadership:
• Regional growth.
• Hospital-wide increases in patient volumes and surgeries performed.
• Success in recruiting physicians to join Faith Regional’s medical staff.
• Continued service line development.
• Phase 3 of a five-phase expansion project that includes surgical services, wound care, pharmacy and other areas of the hospital.
• Expansion of medical facilities.
• Implementation of new technology.

Klosterman joined Faith Regional in July 2014. Klosterman holds master degrees in information technology and business administration.

In addition, Kelly Driscoll, RN, MHA, FACHE, Faith Regional Health Services’ Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, was named one of the 130 women hospital and health system leaders to know in 2016 by Becker’s Hospital Review. According to the December 2, 2016 article, the women on Becker’s Hospital Review list have established themselves as successful leaders within the ever-changing healthcare industry.  This is the second year that Driscoll has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review.

Driscoll joined Faith Regional in 2011 as Vice President of Patient Care Services. In 2012, she received the distinguished certification as a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives. Driscoll accepted the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2013.
