Brian Sterud, M.B.A., C.H.C.I.O., Faith Regional Health Services’ Chief Information Officer, has been named one of 100 hospital and health system CIOs to know in 2019 by Becker’s Hospital Review. According to the February 11, 2019 article, the executives on Becker’s Hospital Review list are leading their organizations through healthcare's technology revolution, overseeing EHR installations, new patient portals and telemedicine advancements while working to keep data secure from breaches. Sterud has been named to this list by Becker’s Hospital Review for the last 3 years in a row.
“I feel honored and blessed to be recognized with this list of exceptional leaders in our industry,” said Sterud. “As always, these recognitions are the by-product of the hard work that is done by a significant team of people here at Faith Regional Health Services. Over the next year, we have a couple of projects that we are implementing that will have a tremendous impact on our region. Sterud joined Faith Regional in 2012 as Vice President of Information Systems. Sterud was previously director of information management at Brookings (S.D.) Health Systems. He has worked in numerous roles within the healthcare industry, including as network analyst and data systems engineer.
