Pulmonology

Dr. Khalil, a pulmonologist, specializes in the treament and diagnosis of pulmonary, critical care and sleep disorders.

Faith Regional Health Services welcomes the opportunity to bring a second pulmonologist to northeast Nebraska. Dr. Kahlil’s practice will focus on diagnoses such as asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis/COPD; lung tumors and cancer; lung infections and pneumonia; various interstitial lung diseases and pulmonary hypertension.

Dr. Khalil received his medical degree from the Baqai Medical College at the University of Karachi-Pakistan where he graduated with distinctions in gynecology, obstetrics, pediatrics, otolaryngology and ophthalmology. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois School of Medicine and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

In addition, Dr. Khalil went on to pursue a fellowship in pulmonary/critical care and sleep medicine at the University of Minnesota and is Board Certified in Pulmonary Disease. During his fellowship, he pursued research in understanding molecular mechanism involved in Pathophysiology and Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

New Emergency Room Director

Faith Regional Health Services prepares to welcomed two new physicians to the Emergency Department.

Jeff Yosten, M.D., a graduate of Neligh-Oakdale High School, is returning to northeast Nebraska as the Director of Emergency Services at Faith Regional. Dr. J. Yosten completed his Medical Degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. After medical school, Dr. J. Yosten continued his training through the North Colorado Family Medicine Residency Program and the Akron General Medicine Center in Ohio where he trained in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. J. Yosten has been the Medical Director for Alegent Health Lakeside Hospital since July 2003. In addition, he has served as the Chest Pain Medical Director and has worked in a variety of Emergency Medical settings. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Medicine.

Lisa Yosten, M.D. is also Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.
Dr.L. Yosten earned her medical degree from UNMC in Omaha. She pursued additional training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Akron General Medical Center. She then completed the Emergency Medical Residency Program at Akron General Medical Center.
Dr. L. Yosten has been an Emergency Room Physician at Alegent Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs since 2003. There she served as the Medical Director for the Emergency Department in 2004 and served as the Director of Emergency Medical Services for Pottawattamie County in Iowa.
