  • Mark Klosterman, F.A.C.H.E., C.M.P.E.

    President and CEO

    Bio

    Mark Klosterman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from South Dakota State University in 1995.  He has a Master’s degree in both Information Technology and Business Administration.

    Prior to 2010, Klosterman served as the Administrator and CEO at two different hospitals:  Avera Gregory Healthcare Center in South Dakota, from  2004 to 2005 and Franklin General Hospital/Franklin Medical Center in Hampton, Iowa, part of the Mercy North Iowa Network, from 2005 to 2010. 

    Since 2010, Klosterman has served as the President and CEO at St. Joseph’s Hospital-Breese in Illinois, which is part of the Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) that has 13 hospitals and a physician network across Illinois and Wisconsin.  St. Joseph’s Hospital is a full-service, acute care facility comprised of 72-beds, four clinics, 28 active medical staff and 425 employees.

    At St. Joseph’s Hospital, Klosterman has lead his team through Meaningful Use Stage 1 and 2, the implementation of LEAN principles throughout the organization, achieved the highest employee and physician engagement with HSHS, and  achieved HCAHPS at the 99th percentile.  In addition, the hospital has been recognized for numerous awards by Healthgrades including Outstanding Patient Experience five years in a row and Patient Safety Excellence Award, and Leapfrog “A” rating three times in a row.

    Klosterman and his wife Stacie, who is a native of Orange City, Iowa, have three daughters.

  • Kelly Driscoll, R.N., M.H.A., F.A.C.H.E.

    Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

    Bio

    Kelly Driscoll received her Registered Nurse degree from Northeast Iowa Community College in Peosta, Iowa.  She continued her education at the Hamilton Business College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, receiving her Bachelors in Business Administration degree.  She then completed her Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA) at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa.

    Since 1999, Driscoll has held management positions including Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, Chief Nursing Officer, and Interim CEO with Unity Point Health System in Iowa.  In 2011, Mrs. Driscoll was hired as Vice President of Patient Care Services at Faith Regional Health Services. In 2012 Driscoll received the distinguished certification as a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives. In 2013, she accepted the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Faith Regional. 

    Mrs. Driscoll is married and has three children.

  • Mark Dietz, M.D., M.B.A.

    Chief Medical Officer

    Bio

    Dr. Dietz earned his Doctor of Medicine at Mayo Medical School and his Master of Business Administration at Northwestern University. He has memberships in the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Associates for Physician Leadership and Institute for Healthcare Improvement, among others.

    Dr. Dietz is well-versed in hospital and clinic strategy, operations and quality as well as has extensive experience in engaging medical staffs. He has served in several executive roles throughout his career including physician consultant, chief medical officer, vice president, senior medical director, manager and program director. Prior to coming to Faith Regional, Dr. Dietz served as Physician Consultant/Interim Chief Medical Officer for a 218-bed, independent acute care hospital in Chicago. Dr. Dietz has also held the position of Chief Medical Officer at New River Medical Center in Monticello, MN where he was responsible for the physician, operational and strategic leadership of a 217-member medical staff.

    As Chief Medical Officer at New River Medical Center in Monticello, MN, Dr. Dietz was responsible for the physician, operational and strategic leadership of a 217-member medical staff.  While at New River, Dr. Dietz developed a 10-member hospitalist program and is credited with providing essential leadership in improving the hospital’s scores on HCAHPS and national core measures. Throughout his career, Dr. Dietz has guided multiple hospitals through accreditation processes and rewrites of Medical Staff Bylaws. In addition, he brings vast knowledge of Observation vs. Admission, ED-Hospitalist interface, and Reimbursement/Denial Management. During his tenure as Chief Medical Officer for Child Health Corporation of America, an alliance of leader children’s hospitals, his $1.5 Million Organizational Transformation helped 16 hospitals improve quality and market differentiation.

  • Tom Lee, M.P.A., F.A.C.H.E.

    Vice President of Support and Ancillary

    Bio

    Tom Lee received his Bachelor Degrees in Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University and in Nursing from Creighton University. He also completed his Masters in Public Administration (MPA) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2002.

    Lee has over 30 years of experience in healthcare, including six years of active duty service in the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman. He has been in executive leadership positions since 2002, including Vice President of Administration at Avera St. Luke’s in Aberdeen, South Dakota and CEO in Emmetsburg, Iowa and Wayne, Nebraska. He became a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2007. In 2015, he accepted his current role as the Vice President of Support and Ancillary Services at Faith Regional.

    Mr. Lee is married and has two children.

  • Brandon Morfeld

    Vice President of Performance Improvement

    Bio

    Prior to joining Faith Regional Health Services, Brandon Morfeld served as a continuous improvement coordinator at Becton Dickinson West in Columbus, NE. In his role there, he gained a thorough understanding of the cost savings initiatives process and how to oversee the big picture. He achieved Lean Leader Certification and trained in Six Sigma Green Belt. He also helped create or execute several projects to eliminate waste and reduce downtime.

    Mr. Morfeld is a native of Stanton, NE. 

  • Lisa Parks, R.N., B.S.N.

    Vice President of Nursing and Quality

    Bio

    Lisa Parks received her Associates Degree in Nursing from the University of South Dakota in 1985, after working several years as an LPN.  She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Nebraska in 1994.

    Parks worked as a staff nurse in many areas of nursing including Medical/Surgical Nursing, Emergency Room, OB, Hospice, and Long Term Care. She began her career in management in 1998 as the Director of Transitional Care (Skilled Care) at Faith Regional Health Services. Over the next 13 years, she provided direct oversight of Inpatient Rehabilitation, Home Health, Hospice, Dialysis, and Mental Health, becoming an Executive Director in 2011. She became Director of Nursing in 2014 and Vice President of Nursing and Quality in 2016.

    Mrs.Parks is a Norfolk native. She is married and has twin daughters.

  • Janet Pinkelman

    Vice President of Human Resources and Mission Services

    Bio

    Janet Pinkelman received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from Wayne State College in Wayne, NE. She currently has over thirty years of experience in Human Resources, including recruitment and retention, employee and management training, policy assessment, performance management, and benefit administration.

    In 1985, Pinkelman became the Personnel Director of the Lutheran Community Hospital. In 1996, Mrs. Pinkelman was hired as Human Resources Director at Faith Regional Health Services. In 2010, Pinkelman accepted her current role as Vice President of Human Resources and Mission Services.

    Mrs. Pinkelman is married and has three children.

  • Patrick Roche

    Chief Operating Officer of Faith Regional Physician Services

    Bio

    Patrick Roche received his degrees in Combined Science: Biology and Chemistry, Theology and Medical Technology, from Carroll College in Helena, MT. He completed his Medical Technology Clinical Internship at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA.

    Since 1986, Roche has held several management positions including Laboratory Director, Laboratory and Joint Commission Accreditation Consultant and Director of Ancillary Services at hospitals in Nebraska and Colorado. In 1996, Mr. Roche was hired as Vice President of Mission & Quality at Faith Regional Health Services. In 2009, Roche accepted his current role as Chief Operating Officer of Faith Regional Physician Services.

    Mr. Roche is married and has five children.

  • Brian Sterud, M.B.A., C.H.C.I.O.

    Chief Information Officer

    Bio

    Brian Sterud received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD in 2001. In 2011, he graduated from CIO Boot Camp at the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives. Sterud is a Certified Healthcare CIO and Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems. He received his Masters of Business Administration degree (MBA) with specialization in Health Services Administration in 2014 from the University of South Dakota, in Vermillion, SD.

    Since 2001, Sterud has built a strong knowledge of the technology needs and initiatives within the healthcare industry, including the position of Network Analyst, Remote Systems Engineer and Consultant and Data Systems Engineer.  In 2008, Mr. Sterud became the Director of Information Management at Brookings Health Systems. In 2012, Sterud accepted his current role as Vice President of Information Systems at Faith Regional Health Services.

    Mr. Sterud is married and has two children.

  • John Wilker, F.A.C.H.E., F.H.F.M.A.

    Chief Financial Officer

    Bio

    John has served as the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Faith Regional Health Services since 2012.  He came to Faith Regional with over thirty years of Chief Financial Offier experience including for-profit, not-for-profit, and government-owned hospitals and health systems in Utah, Arizona, California, Idaho, and now Nebraska.

    He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association, where he also received the Follmer Bronze Award.

    John has served on various boards and committees, including hospital associations in Utah, Arizona, and Idaho; HFMA; United Way; Boy Scouts of America; Comstock Children’s Foundation; and Idaho Community Hospital Network.  He currently serves on several committees with ENHANCE Health Network.

    He received his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Idaho State University.

    John and his wife Elaine have four children and six grandchildren.
